NBSC BENCHMARKS WITH CMU TO STRENGTHEN INTERNATIONALIZATION, EXTENSION, AND ECOLOGICAL SERVICES
The General Services Office (GSO), Community Extension Services Division (CESD), and the International Affairs and External Linkages Office (IAELO) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully conducted a benchmarking visit to Central Mindanao University (CMU) on September 30, 2025. This initiative reflects NBSC’s continuing commitment to advancing internationalization, enhancing extension programs, and strengthening ecological and administrative services aligned with global standards.
The visit enabled NBSC to gather valuable insights from CMU’s established practices in promoting international engagement, improving extension services, and streamlining ecological and administrative processes.
The NBSC delegation was composed of representatives from the General Services Office, headed by Mr. Fritchar Gevero, MA; the Community Extension Services Division, headed by Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, and the International Affairs and External Linkages Office, led by Ms. Maria Michaela Q. Jamora, MS. Together, the team engaged in meaningful dialogue with CMU’s Internationalization Office, sharing strategies on sustainable partnerships, expanding student and faculty mobility opportunities, and identifying innovative models to strengthen global linkages and collaborations.
The NBSC group also connected with various CMU offices and officials, including the Office of Environmental and Safety Management, with the support of Dr. Cecilia O. Bucayong; the University Extension Office, under the leadership of Dr. Raquel O. Salingay, Director of Extension; and the International Relations Office, headed by Dr. Raquelyn J. Dadang. These engagements enriched the exchange of knowledge and emphasized CMU’s integrated approach to internationalization, ecological management, and community service.
The benchmarking initiative reaffirmed NBSC’s dedication to continuous improvement and institutional excellence. The best practices and insights gained from the visit will serve as valuable inputs in further developing the College’s internationalization roadmap, ensuring that its services and programs remain competitive, relevant, and responsive to the needs of its stakeholders.
Through this endeavor, NBSC demonstrates its vision of fostering international cooperation, strengthening ecological and extension services, and creating meaningful opportunities that connect its academic community to the broader global network.
